Drip Studio NYC began as Liquid Skin Studio (est. 2009), a boutique tattoo shop specializing in realism, portraiture, and graffiti art. Since its inception, Miguel’s goal as an artist and business owner was to blend an artistic non-traditional approach to tattooing as the first Dyckman-based tattoo studio to actively display artists’ work and host gallery shows. During the pandemic, the decision was made to shift to a private, appointment-based studio that maintains the original Liquid Skin experience (familiar and comfortable) within a more intimate, one-on-one environment.

Miguel M., founder and owner of Drip Studio NYC, has been an artist since he could hold a crayon. He was notably influenced by older siblings who were also artists and encouraged him to formalize a nascent skill and pursue an education in the arts. At 18, Miguel designed an intricate family tattoo for his brother and accompanied him for the process. Encouraged by his brother and inspired by —, Miguel began his first tattoo apprenticeship in 1999 in New York City. Miguel’s love for translating art into permanent body adornments continued to grow, and as it grew, Miguel transformed his humble apprenticeship into his own businesses, Liquid Skin and Drip Studio NYC.
